Expanded Rubber Expo and Advanced Materials in Health Care in Cleveland

0 ^- \" m* F: CAkron, OH - The Rubber Division, ACS, plans to host an expected 6,000 attendees from around the globe for the Rubber Expo & Advanced Material in Health Care, 180th Technical Meeting and Educational Symposium in Cleveland, OH, October 11-13, 2011, at The International Exposition (I-X) Center. The show was expanded for the first time this year to include Advanced Materials in Health Care. The result has been a success with a total of 236 booths covering more than 53,000 square feet of floor space. The 180th Technical Symposium includes 116 technical presentations representing 16 different countries including a special Advanced Material in Health Care Symposium. Robert (Bob) Handlos, vice president, Product Development, Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations, will deliver the keynote address, “One Team, One Planet: Thinking Green for a Better Tomorrow.” The plenary lecture, “Biomedical Polymers: Their Role in the New Medical Science of Regeneration and Repair” will be presented by Dr. Buddy Ratner, professor of Bioengineering and Chemical Engineering, The University of Washington. A student colloquium and poster session will be held with a combination of graduate and undergraduate paper presentations.
