" j6 ^2 x# m+ B$ J) WShropshire, UK - Smithers Rapra announced its Shawbury, UK operations are full members of the UK GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) compliance monitoring program. The Smithers Rapra test facility has been admitted as full members to the UK GLP compliance programme for the provision of analytical chemistry data after a general inspection for compliance by the MHRA (Medicines and Healthcare Regulatory Agency). This GLP regulation applies to non clinical studies for the safety and efficacy of chemicals, which include pharmaceuticals. The decision to gain membership in the GLP compliance program at Smithers Rapra has been very much driven by the increase in market sector demands over the past few years and demonstrates Smithers continuing development of quality management systems within their laboratories, ensuring that consistent and reliable results are provided to customers with the quality assurances that they require. Smithers Rapra’s analysis laboratories are equipped with state-of-the-art liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry (LC-MS) and gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC-MS) equipment; this is complemented by the addition of GCxGC MS TOF and ICP-OES (Inductive Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectrometry).
