Fire at Specialty Tires ruled accidental

Indiana, PA - A fire that destroyed a storage building at the Specialty Tires of America tire plant last week was ruled accidental. The company said the fire was contained to the storage room and did not spread to other plant facilities. A damage estimate has not been released. The plant, which was having a planned maintenance shutdown, employs more than 400. Production was expected to resume yesterday.
