Huber increasing silica prices

Atlanta, GA - Huber Engineered Materials, announced a global price increase for its precipitated silicas and silicates. The increase is effective beginning Sept. 1, 2011, or as current contracts allow. Prices will increase up to 8%. The increase has become necessary due to increasing costs in raw materials, energy, freight, labor and manufacturing.
