Hankook introduces 'MAX' additions to e-cube range

Hankook also took the opportunity to unveil its latest products at the 2012 IAA commercial vehicle show in Hanover.

Taking center stage on the Hankook stand were the new ‘e-cube MAX’ long-haul tires for commercial vehicles. The radial tire has a serious focus on ecological issues, with the ‘MAX’ reported to stand for ‘maximum efficiency, energy efficiency and environmental friendliness.’

The e-cube MAX range consists of three axle specific tires, those being the AL10+ for the steering axle, the DL10+ for the drive axle and the TL10+, a tailored matching tire for the trailer axles. Each tire has unique properties that are designed to extract the most from each application. The drive axle tire, DL10+ features a 3D developed kerf solution to give an even wear pattern – increasing tire life and economic returns.

All three, however, feature similar traits in that their construction is based around Hankook’s ‘Innovative Mixing System’ (IMS) that reduces temperatures during the processing stage. The upshot of this being that the tire offers reduced fuel consumption rates, without interrupting the tire’s overall performance.
