Alpha Technologies has released its latest product enhancement range, long-life seals for MDR and Mooney instruments. Something the company states as representative of its ‘ongoing commitment to leading the industry in productivity, precision and performance.’

The new products include long life seals for its MDR2000 and PMDR rheometers, as well as Mooney MV2000 instruments. The direct replacement seals have a lifespan of around six months, significantly higher than the original seals that require changing twice a week.

In scenarios where the seal replacement and recalibration can take up to three hours to complete, the time saved by running the Alpha seals in rheometers can equate to a gain of 156 hours of the six month period, or the equivalent of 3000 additional tests. The new seals can also help significantly reduce the associated torque calibrations over the same period.
