Huber increasing calcium carbonate prices

2 Y  J4 E( w0 a% _6 QAtlanta, GA - Huber Engineered Materials announced a price increase for industrial calcium carbonate products manufactured at its Marble Hill, GA operation. The increase is effective Sept. 1, 2012, or as current contracts allow. List prices will increase an average of five to eight percent, depending on the product grade and packaging. “Huber continues to work diligently to improve productivity and processing efficiencies to minimize the impact of continued rising costs for raw materials, energy, mining, packaging, product development, freight and environmental and safety compliance,” says David Riley, vice president and general manager of Huber’s Industrial Calcium Carbonate business unit. “Unfortunately, despite these efforts, a price increase is necessary to ensure the high level of product quality and consistency and industry-leading service our customers expect.”
