Yokohama completes construction of its Russia facility

The Yokohama Rubber Company Ltd has announced that its tire manufacturing and selling company, Yokohama R.P.Z. in Russia, recently completed the construction of a new passenger car tire plant in the Lipetsk Special Economic Zone, Russia.

* A  G1 D! C' G; X2 ~& h4 zThe facility will go into full operation later in 2013 and has a building area of 43,000m2. Annual production capacity is expected to reach 1.4 million tires. Yokohama Rubber is borrowing 240,000m2 of land from Lipetsk Special Economic Zone for future expansion.

Products, which will be manufactured at the facility include passenger car tires and passenger car studded tires, both core products in the Russian market and will be available in 13-18in in internal diameter. The tires will be sold mainly in Russia with some exported to Europe
