Akron Polymer Systems opens new headquarters

Akron, OH - Akron Polymer Systems, a tech startup that develops polymers, opened its new headquarters/laboratory in Akron, OH. The new $1.6 million facility includes an old warehouse converted into 5,000 square feet of manufacturing space and a 9,700-square-foot expansion. Akron Polymer Systems is planning a pilot production line, where polymer film would be made as part of the development process. Akron Polymer Systems also is working on films that would be used to make a better screen on tablet computers and smart phones, as well as an implant that would be used to promote bone growth. The company has 12 employees and the new facility has room for 40 to 60 employees.
