The traditional West Michigan Rubber Group Golf/Fishing Outing has been split into two separate events this year so that all who enjoy both activities can now attend both events. The golf outing will be held at the MSU Forest Akers West Course Wednesday, May 30. The golf outing is one of the two West Michigan Rubber Group fundraisers to support a scholarship to a worthy Ferris State Rubber Technology student, as well as to send a group of Ferris State Rubber Technology students to the annual Rubber Expo and to provide dinners for them during West Michigan Rubber Group technical meetings. The fishing derby is scheduled to be held on Friday, July 27, from Chinook Pier in Grand Haven.
