BAY Systems is championing its latest microphone for use within the automotive industry. The tire cavity microphone (TCM) can be attached to any wheel rim, 13in or larger, and is designed to capture noise within the tire cavity.

Comprising two small curved aluminum modules that are tensioned to the hub via steel harness and multi-core cables, the TCM will allow test engineers to measure tire noise more accurately, which BAY claims will allow for the faster development of tires.' M; ~0 \; O |( T
