BASF to increase pricing for diols and derivatives

Florham Park, NJ - Effective April 1, or as contracts allow, BASF will increase its list and off-list prices in North America for butanediol (BDO), gamma-butyrolactone (GBL) and N-methylpyrrolidone (NMP) by $0.07 per pound. List and off-list prices for tetrahydrofuran (THF) and polytetramethylene ether glycol (PolyTHF) will be increased by $0.10 per pound. Butanediol and its derivatives are used for producing engineering plastics, polyurethanes, solvents, electronic chemicals and elastic fibers.
