Japan's crude rubber stocks reach all-time high

Tokyo, Japan - Japan's crude rubber stocks hit an all-time high of 16,094 metric tons on April 30, data released Tuesday by the Rubber Trade Association of Japan showed. The latest data exceeded a previous record high of 15,976 metric tons registered on April 20. The higher stocks came amid a fall in local automobile production. On April 30, the Japan Automobile Dealers Association said output reached 823,145 units in March, down 16 percent from 984,563 units in the same 2012 month.
