1 F, M& H* ?3 V2 T. z0 k  C8 s- RSt. Louis, MO - Spartech celebrated the grand opening of its new 90,000 square foot technology center. Spartech began to occupy the location this past December, 2010, with new technical and market development resources and a number of employees relocating to St. Louis, MO, from former product development and material science centers in Indiana and Pennsylvania. The new facility allows Spartech to house its core capabilities of material science expertise, processing knowledge and creative design capabilities all under one roof. The nearly $6 million facility includes compounding, extrusion and thermoforming development lines, and full physical, analytical, weathering and burn testing capabilities. The newest capability at the Technology Center is the Spartech IQ PKG design center which focuses on innovative and sustainable packaging design. Lastly, the Technology Center has capabilities to conduct life cycle analysis of the environmental footprint of all Spartech products.
