European expansion plans for gsdi

Barberton, OH - gsdi will unveil its European expansion plans at Fakuma 2011. The international trade fair for plastics processing will also see the launch of gsdi’s new brand identity, after the company, formerly known as Gayson Silicone Dispersions Inc., was acquired by the ColorMatrix Group earlier this year. gsdi’s European expansion will initially involve establishing a warehouse operation and ultimately a production facility as a key stage in the company’s development strategy, which will also involve it looking to build its presence in China. gsdi’s global expansion is being marked by the launch of a new corporate identity, following its acquisition by ColorMatrix in April 2011. Now known simply as gsdi, the company’s look has been updated to fit with the rest of the ColorMatrix Group and a new web site is also being developed. Rob Droman, director of new market development at gsdi, said: “Since we joined the ColorMatrix Group in April, a lot of work has taken place to enable us to improve our technologies and benefit from the global reach of the group. Fakuma is an important early step in our international development. Our European production base will help us to enhance our service to both new and existing customers with operations outside the U.S., and our new brand identity reflects our ongoing commitment to innovation and to helping meet our customers’ future requirements.”
