Reading, PA - Reaching a milestone in safety and precision in quality standards, Quadrant Engineering Plastic Products’ Wytheville, VA, facility has achieved three years injury-free. “For 80 employees to work 386,100 hours without one recordable injury is quite a feat. It is evidence of our strong company vision for safety and the strong accountability that each person has for the safety and wellness of their team members,” said Alan Freeman, plant manager of Wytheville, Quadrant Engineering Plastic Products. With an unwavering focus on safety, Wytheville team members actively participate in daily meetings, regular trainings, onsite safety reviews, updating procedures, and monthly employee-driven safety committee meetings. Employees strictly abide by internal processes and have an open environment to provide peer reviews and constructive criticism that is governed by the teams’ culture of caring and respect for the well-being of their team members. Quadrant’s Wytheville facility produces general engineering plastics and a proprietary product called Flourosint for compression molding. It has been in operation since 1976 as DSM, which Quadrant bought in 2001.
