SBR1712 is a cold SBR polymer extended with 37.5 parts of highly aromatic oil. The dark colored staining type oil used possesses a higher level of plasticizing efficiency than the light colored extending oils used in other rubbers. Choice of this more efficient plasticizer results in a polymer having superior physical and processing properties compared to other oil-extended rubbers. The combination stabilizer-antioxidant-antiozonant used in SBR1712 provides an exceptionally high level of polymer protection. Application possibilities for SBR1712 include tire,camelback and mechanical goods compounds where color and staining are not decisive factors.
