4 ]4 S6 q+ U, D+ V, h& K- R7 tIndianapolis, IN - Cascade Gasket & Manufacturing recently became a member of the Association for Rubber Products Manufacturers (ARPM). The molded rubber parts manufacturer that caters primarily to the aircraft industry knows the importance of their connection with a solid association. “The networking aspect with ARPM is great,” said Bob Walker, special projects manager with the Kent, WA based company. “Cascade understands the value of this to our company and feels that it is important to be involved and interact with the industry. We are interested in the conferences and tours. We would like to have members come here and tour our facilities.” The 66 year old company started small but has grown to become a sizeable company in the past decade or so. With the growth has come the desire to expand their vision outward. “We are not a little company anymore and need to get serious about our business,” Walker said. “The benefits that ARPM offers are the things we are looking for. It seems like a good fit for us.” Cascade Gasket & Mfg Co. offers rubber compression and injection molding services and specializes in Boeing Aerospace Certified Rubber Compression molding parts compression molded up to 144” long and 48” wide at 100 psi. Additionally, they compression mold with up to 100 cavities to manufacture custom gaskets and other parts. Besides organic rubber (from 15 to 80 durometer), Cascade works with silicone compounds as well as polypropylene, polystyrene and polyurethane, and is ISO 9001:2008, AS-9100 and AS-9102 certified. Their injection molding capacity runs from one to thirty cavities, with molds up to 17.25” between bars by 11” and a 1,000 cc shot size. Tolerance for all molding processes is to +/-0.005”, and their facility offers product development, mold making and rapid prototyping services. Industries served include aerospace, train, bus, maritime and communication industries. |
