Trelleborg to build anti-vibration plant in India

Trelleborg, Sweden - Trelleborg Automotive announced the intention to invest in a second manufacturing facility in India as a direct response to the increasing demand for Trelleborg’s extensive range of automotive anti-vibration solutions (AVS) from India’s car and commercial vehicle manufacturers. The new facility will be based in the south of the country to help serve customers regionally and is a perfect complement to the existing facility which is based in Noida, near New Delhi. Trelleborg Automotive AVS has been present in India since 1996 and is firmly established as a key supplier to the Indian OEMs, offering both engineering and manufacturing support. The market is forecast to achieve strong growth in the future with more than 2.5 million new vehicles expected to be on India’s roads next year.
