Mitas has introduced a set of new earth-mover tires that extends the family of its ERL/ERD tire sizes by 30%. The new ERL/ERD-40 tires feature a large surface area to improve their life span. The ERL-50 tread is specifically designed for rocky conditions. 6 N2 m" u' y& M3 l

All of the ERL/ERD line is radial with a steel-enforced carcass and steel breakers. ERL tires are for loader and grader machinery, and ERD tires are for transport vehicles. These include wheel loaders, dozers and graders, and dumpers and scrapers.' Z0 m0 S1 u) K) R5 @

The new FLR-01 and SC-01 tires can be fitted on straddle carriers, terminal tractors, container handlers and forklifts used in port terminals and intermodal yards to handle bulk goods and large containers.

“Mitas developed the FLR and SC tires based on steel radial technology, which allows for the handling of extremely heavy loads,” Hala explained. “The SC-01 is made stable to minimize lateral movement of the straddle carrier where the driver sits at the very top of the five-storey vehicle. This translates to ride comfort.” |
