BASF raising prices for polyalcohols in North America

* {% k! ?2 [8 IFlorham Park, NJ - Effective April 1, 2012, or as contracts allow, BASF will increase its list and off-list prices in North America for 1,6 Hexanediol (HDO), Epsilon-Caprolactone (CLO), PolyCLO (Capromer), 1,5 Pentanediol (PDO) and Hydroxypivalic acid neopentylglycolester (HPN) by $0.09 per pound and all grades of Neopentylglycol (NPG, Neol) by $0.15 per pound. The polyalcohols mentioned are widely used in solvent-free coatings and for the production of polyurethanes, alkyd resins, unsaturated polyester resins and synthetic lubricants.
