Housing and registration open for Rubber Division meeting

Akron, OH - The Rubber Division, ACS, announced that housing and registration are open for the 181st Technical Meeting & Educational Symposium of the Rubber Division to be held April 22-25, 2012, at the Crowne Plaza Riverwalk, San Antonio, TX. Rustom Mody, vice president of technology, Baker Hughes, will deliver the keynote address. The technical symposia include these topics: On vehicle testing/road testing of tires and gaskets; Mechanical properties of rubber in various applications; Elastomers - natural, synthetic and recycled; and Nanocomposites. The division will also honor its science and technology award winners. There are two courses scheduled during the week of events: Introduction to Rubber Technology for Non-Technologists, and Engineering With Rubber. Other events the Rubber Division will hold include the 25-Year Club Luncheon on Monday, April 23, for members who have been active in the rubber industry for 25 consecutive years. Also Monday evening, there will be a welcome reception.
