Titan Tire adding jobs at former Goodyear plant

Union City, TN - The Union City Daily Messenger is reporting that Titan Tire plans to create 300 jobs this year at its Union City, TN, plant at the location of the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber facility. Titan Tire chairman Bill Campbell said that the plant will produce and redistribute materials to other company facilities. Titan Tire purchased the Goodyear plant for $9 million last September after it shut down earlier in the year. The 43-year-old Goodyear plant, with 1,800 employees, was Obion County’s largest employer.
